Tucked away just West of Hillsboro, Wisconsin in Vernon County, lies yet another of Wisconsin’s Driftless area’s treasures, the Blue Highway Lodge.
Over the past couple of years in my travels through the Wisconsin Driftless, it has amazed me to see how some farms, houses, and businesses have survived over 100 years.
Known for its outdoor recreation opportunities, the Wisconsin Driftless area also boasts inns, hotels, parks to camp in, and Bed and Breakfast venues.
Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue and Educational Center, located in Rock Springs, Wisconsin, just 20 minutes Southwest of Wisconsin Dells, has held different events from Trick or Treating, Boozin’ with the Big Cats, and now offer Sleeping with the Big Cats, well sort of.
Located just a short meandering drive on the southern outskirts of Baraboo Wisconsin, is a tourist mecca of food, spirits, the renowned Devil’s Lake State Park, and a quaint motel called the WilloWood Inn.
Some places are just destined to carry on despite just about anything that is thrown in the way. Time, floods, economics, even a pandemic, sometimes can be too much.
