The night sky, a truly amazing experience for anyone able to find a place to star gaze with limited to no light, man made of course, to spoil it.
Recently, I visited Wildcat Mountain State Park to take some photographs and video for our Facebook page and website. During this visit I wanted to shoot some mid-summer scenes from the observation point located in the park.
There is a lot to love about the Driftless. The topography lends itself to rural living and neighbors may be few and far, but there are some things we share.
In the past couple years, streams and creeks throughout the Driftless region in Southwestern Wisconsin have been reshaped and seen bank erosion due to severe storms and more than average flooding.
With the worst flooding hitting the Driftless last summer, conservationists are beginning restoration efforts that are crucial to the health and management of the area’s waters. Read more at DriftlessNow.com
