Join Kelvin Rodolfo, Professor Emeritus of Earth & Environmental Sciences, University of Illinois at Chicago, to learn from this lecture and field trip how the ancient, 1,000-foot thick stack of rock layers beneath us was formed, and how water percolating down into our aquifers must be protected from careless uses. We’ll begin the day with inside presentation at Nature Nooks Retreat and a half hour of talk + Q&A. Participants will then break for a bag lunch at 11:30 am then head outside for the field trip at noon.
DriftlessNow.com’s focus is on the nature, geological features, cultures, and people of the Driftless area. In addition, we showcase events that celebrate the pride and diversity that makes the Southwest Wisconsin Driftless region unique.
